LEX Africa Introducing 3 new members to the Alliance

It gives us great pleasure to welcome our 3 new members from Cameroon, Cote D’Ivoire and Tanzania.

The firm was set up in response to the demand for locally-based lawyers with international exposure, specialised expertise and high professional standards. They are based in the heart of the economic capital, Douala, home to government offices, ports authorities and multinational corporations.

F.D.K.A Association d’Avocats – Cote D’Ivoire is a full service law firm based in Abidjan and was founded in 2000 as a merger between two firms headed by Karim Fadika and Colette Kacoutie on the one hand and Mahoua Fadika Delafosse on the other. The founding partners, all members of the Bar of Côte d’Ivoire for over 20 years, each have extensive experience in business law.

FB Attorneys – Tanzania – is a full service law firm based in Dar es Salaam and headed by Mustafa Chandoo and FAyaz Bhojani. Its lawyers havea cumulative experience of over 70 years and a thorough knowledge of the East African region. The firm covers all aspects of corporate and commercial matters and are held in high esteem throughout the region and internationally.

Chairperson of LEX Africa, Pieter Steyn says “We are proud to have these 3 excellent new members as part of our team.   One of our key strategic priorities has been to expand in Francophone Africa and Cameroon and Cote D’Ivoire are key Francophone jurisdictions. We are confident that our new members will add great value and we look forward to working with them”.

The addition of these members brings the total LEX Africa member count to 21 countries. “We remain the largest African Legal Alliance with an established track record of advising clients in Africa since 1993”, notes Steyn.
