Recent Matters:

Angola: General Advice to the national IT Regulator in connection with diferent activities under its supervision.

DRC: Advised an Egyptian bank in connection to a loan made to an international telecommunications’ company.

Ghana: Acting as local counsel for a fund which is investing in the equity of the target company as well as providing debt financing to the target company, a telecommunications infrastructure company licensed by the National Communications Authority to build and operate a fibre network.

Kenya: Advising American Tower Corporation (ATC) on its acquisition of 715 communication towers from Telkom Kenya.

Morocco: Legal advice to Bertelsmann, a multinational mass media company, on Moroccan law aspects of their partnership with Saham Group in the field of outsources client centers.

Mozambique: Advising on the legislative universe applied to a telecommunications company concerning ten main mozambican legislations applicable to its purpose.

Nigeria: Representing an Abu Dhabi based multinational telecommunications company in proceedings against a Gibraltar registered telecommunications service provider to realise its assets.

South Africa: Advising MultiChoice Africa as regards licensing, regulatory and compliance issues in over 50 countries across Sub-Saharan Africa (digital terrestrial television broadcasting, mobile broadcasting services and DTH satellite television broadcasting services).

Tanzania: Represented a telecom company in a transfer of shares dispute at topco level in a dispute of approx. USD 200M.

Zambia: Advisor to the European Investment Bank in relation to a USD18 million loan facility to Bandwidth and Cloud Services Group Holdings, for the deployment of fibre optics networks in the regions of Central and Eastern Africa, with a total length of more than 4 850 km, terrestrial fibre cable and submarine cable in Lake Tanganyika and Lake Albert.

Zimbabwe: Routinely advise and represent the national broadcaster on a wide array of matters.
