Sipho Ziga is the lead partner of Armstrongs’ Commercial Department. He was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of Botswana in 1997, and as a Conveyancer and Notary Public in 1998. With over 26 years of experience in various areas of business law, Sipho has extensive expertise in corporate commercial law, securities and financial services regulations, mining and resources law, and project finance.

He has served as a legal advisor to numerous leading companies, including both listed and unlisted Botswana Stock Exchange (BSE) companies, parastatals, and multinational corporations, assisting with matters such as BSE compliance, corporate governance, company formations, acquisitions, takeovers, due diligence reviews, capital raising, trade finance, banking law, loan agreements, negotiable instruments, and capital market instruments.

Sipho regularly advises multinational companies and international law firms on Botswana’s legal and regulatory framework, especially in the areas of mergers, securities, and financial instruments.

His deep knowledge of mining law has made him a trusted advisor to many multinational mining companies operating in Botswana, offering assistance in mergers and acquisitions, company formation, due diligence, compliance, licensing, capital raising, and restructuring.
