Tanzanian Court of Appeal rules against Taxpayers in two latest decisions

The Court of Appeal (Court) has continued its efficient spree to clear case backlogs, especially in tax matters.

Two key cases, amongst many others filed in the Court registry in Dar es Salaam involving international oil and gas companies in Tanzania, were heard during the week of 25 June 2018 in Dodoma. These decisions have serious consequences for the oil and gas industry, amongst other industries that use foreign non-resident suppliers.
