  • Advised ESLA PLC on a tax receivables-backed bond issuance programme and listing of bonds on the Ghana Fixed Income Market. This is currently the largest bond programme on the Ghanaian market.
  • Acted for Ghana Amalgamated Trust Plc on a proposed initial public offer and listing of shares on the Ghana Stock Exchange.
  • Acted for Daakye Trust Plc on a tax receivables-backed bond issuance programme and listing of bonds on the Ghana Fixed Income Market.
  • Advised on MTN Ghana on an initial public offer and listing of shares. 
  • Advised First Bank Nigeria on the acquisition of all the shares in International Commercial Bank Group’s banking subsidiaries in Ghana, Guinea, Senegal, Gambia and Sierra Leone. 
  • Advised Fidelity Bank Ghana Ltd on an equity capitalisation by way of private placement of shares with Amethis Africa Finance Limited, Edmond de Rothschild Europportunities II S.C.A., SICAR, Edmond de Rothschild Europportunities II FCPR and KTH Africa Investments.
  • General legal representation for Kosmos and advising on Jubilee and TEN fields.
  • Advised Aker Energy on general operations and the development of the Pecan field.
  • Advised Tullow energy on general operations and tax disputes with the Ghana Revenue Authority.
  • Advised Afreximbank on due diligence for the construction of a floating dry dock at Takoradi Port. 
  • Advised Boston Investment Limited on the sale of One Airport Square, Accra. 
  • Ghana counsel in connection with the proposed sale of the entire issued shares of a global agricultural commodities merchant and processing company in Ghana
  • Ghana counsel on the sale of a major retailer in Ghana. 
  • Ghana counsel on a global environment, health and safety mapping project for an international petroleum company. 
  • Represented an international venture capital fund in a dispute involving sovereign bonds issued by the Republic of Argentina in New York. This matter led to the headline arrest of the Frigata Libertad in Ghana and ultimately a US$1.2 billion settlement.
  • Represented a leading multinational mining company in Ghana as local counsel in an investor arbitration before ICSID.
  • Represented a mining company in arbitration proceedings relating to a contract dispute with a mining services company involving claims in excess of US$ 8 million.
  • Represented an international software company in an international arbitration against the Government of Ghana regarding a breach of contract in which the client was awarded over GH¢197.5 million (approximately US $87.2 million at the time) in damages.
  • Representing a client in an international energy company in international arbitration and local litigation against the Government of Ghana regarding breach of a Power Purchase Agreement in which the client was awarded the equivalent of US$12 million in damages.
