Jackie is a partner at Corpus Legal Practitioners in Zambia and heads the firm’s Corporate Advisory Department and focuses her practice on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, restructuring and insolvency, tax, agribusiness, trusts and charities, employment and benefits, agribusiness and trusts and charities. Jackie also specializes in procurement and outsourcing transactions in both the public and private sectors. She has advised on some of the most significant and complex corporate advisory matters in Zambia, including major infrastructure and restructuring projects.
With 15 years’ experience, Jackie serves as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them enter the Zambian market, manage workforces, employment relationships and ensure regulatory compliance. Jacqueline also advises on all aspects of employment law matters, including contracts of employment and employment policies, dismissals and redundancies.
Jackie holds a law degree from the University of Zambia and is an Advocate of the Superior Courts of Zambia, and a member of the International Bar Association and Law Association of Zambia.
She has been recognized as a ‘Rising Star’ with respect to Restructuring and Insolvency, Mergers and Acquisitions by the IFLR1000. Sources comment that Jackie is “knowledgeable in the field, competent in delivery and with promptness, very professional.”
Jacqueline is also a regular contributor to the World Bank’s flagship programme, Doing Business and champions thought leadership for the firm’s client updates in tax law as well as corporate and commercial law.
