As from 1 March 2026 ARIPO will implement a new trade mark official fee structure. See some of the key adjustments below.
The amendments provide for an increase in official fees payable under the Banjul Protocol.
As from 1 March 2026 key fee adjustments include:
- Application (paper filing): USD 200.00 (previously USD 100.00)
- Application (electronic filing): USD 160.00 (previously USD 80.00)
- Designation per state (additional class): USD 20.00 (previously USD 10.00)
- Registration per state (first class): USD 150.00 (previously USD 100.00)
- Hard paper registration certificate: USD 100.00 (new)
- Renewal per state (first class): USD 200.00 (previously USD 100.00)
- Extra word fee (in excess of 50 words): USD 10.00 each (previously USD 5.00)
