New LEX Africa member in Mauritus: Erriah Chambers

Africa Update

On 12 February 2014, Erriah Chambers joined LEX Africa, the first and largest African legal network established in 1993.

Erriah Chambers is a leading law firm in Mauritius which specialises in a number of practice areas including international trust, international finance, setting up investment funds, international tax structuring, banking and finance, shipping law, aircraft finance and leasing, project finance, corporate and commercial law, litigation, cross border insolvency, tracing and debt recovery, enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards and the arrest of foreign vessels.

The firm is headed by Mr Dev R Erriah who was the first Chairman of the Mauritius branch of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and is a former Chairman of the Telecommunication Regulators Association of the Southern African Development Community (SADC).  The firm comprises a team of nine barristers and the former head of the SADC Tribunal, Justice Pillay, is a consultant to the firm.
